With the new GIGAdock, SOMMER offers a powerful and highly versatile control solution for loading dock levellers. The control system has been developed for hinged lip and telescopic dock levellers and can be combined with virtually all common dock leveller systems, regardless of manufacturer.
This makes GIGAdock suitable for both new loading bays and the modernization of existing facilities.
One Control System for Different Dock Leveller Types
GIGAdock is designed for two key dock leveller types:
- Hinged lip dock levellers
- Telescopic dock levellers
The same control board is used for both versions. This reduces the number of variants and simplifies planning, inventory management, installation, and maintenance.
A key advantage is its cross-manufacturer compatibility: virtually all common dock levellers can be connected to and centrally controlled by GIGAdock.
Flexible Power Supply
GIGAdock features a wide-range power supply for:
200 to 480 V, 3P+N
This enables the control system to be used flexibly in a wide range of industrial environments and international power grids.
Intuitive Operation in Multiple Languages
The integrated SOMMER display provides clear and user-friendly operation. Its structured menu navigation supports users during commissioning, configuration, and everyday operation of the dock leveller.
For international applications, the menu is available in numerous languages, including:

Proven Housing and Familiar Connection Technology
GIGAdock is housed in the proven GIGAcontrol enclosure. The connection terminals are also based on those used in the GIGAcontrol A.
For installers and service technicians, this means a familiar system architecture and simplified installation. Existing expertise and workflows can continue to be used.
Central Connection of Multiple Loading Bay Components
In addition to dock leveller control, numerous other loading bay components can be integrated, including:
