Opportunistic burglars use screwdrivers, pliers and wedges to break into the closed and locked component within 3 minutes. Garage doors and operators of resistance class RC 2 offer protection against forced entry not only for this time, but continue to foil break-in attempts by opportunistic burglars. And for even greater security, we recommend our Lock pluggable locking magnet. It ensures that the door remains stable in the ventilation position, in partial opening position or in the door end position OPEN/CLOSED, up to an attack force of at least 300 kg. This offers additional protection against attempted break-ins – though our SOMMER garage door operators are certified to RC 2 even without the Lock locking magnet.
