Finding a free parking space in an underground garage is not an easy task at the best of times. But what’s particularly annoying is finding that there is a strange car in your reserved parking space.
To spare the nerves of all involved, we developed the reservo electric parking space barrier. It reserves a parking space in an underground garage while you are still on the road and can only be released by the owner of the parking space.
The automatic parking space barrier itself is available in three different versions:
- reservo (incl. APERTO baseline+ garage door operator)
- reservo+ (incl. S 9060 base+ garage door operator)
- reservo Kit
The individual versions differ in the equipment included. The reservo Kit comprises all elements needed to attach the automatic parking space barrier to a door operator from SOMMER. If no door operator from SOMMER is installed on site, you can select the reservo or reservo+ package. In addition to all the elements contained in the reservo Kit, they also include a corresponding garage door operator.
With the reservo package, the parking space barrier is locked and released via radio or button. With the reservo+ version, you can control the garage door operator directly to lock or release the barrier. You also receive feedback when the desired action, for example locking the parking space barrier, has been carried out successfully.
The S 9060 base+ garage door operator is supplemented by a range of accessories which can be ordered separately, for example a traffic lights system or a warning light, both of which can be connected using Plug-and-Play. This helps to prevent accidents with the parking space barrier in underground garages.
Unlocking the electric parking space barrier remotely
When the parking space barrier is attached to a SOMMER garage door operator which is already installed or the operator included in the package, it can be locked and released conveniently via remote control, using one of our radio control systems, a key switch or directly from the control centre. You also have the option of controlling the barrier via smartphone with a corresponding app.
A decisive advantage compared to standard static parking place barriers is installation on the ceiling. This ensures that the surface of the parking space remains free for cleaning work. Both the automatic parking space barrier itself and the electric garage door operator can be installed in just a few easy steps and are ready for use immediately.
The advantages of an electric garage door operator from SOMMER
In contrast to conventional parking space barriers, the reservo electrical parking space barrier always benefits from the long service life and high cycle duration of the SOMMER garage door operator used.
Not only does it offer smooth and low-wear operation; its optimised control unit also minimises the maintenance work required. In addition, the operator can be expanded with a wide range of accessories, adapting it individually to your personal requirements. For example, you can install the SOMMER Lumi Strip lighting, which gives you added lighting in the underground garage when the garage door operator is in use.
Or you can choose a combination of a warning light and buzzer. The former lights up when the parking space barrier is unlocked or activated, while the latter emits an acoustic warning tone at the same time.
